The term training collar does not mean training the dog wears a collar. What this means is the use of a collar assistance in training a dog. New dog owners usually have the experience of buying a buckle collar leather or fabric, banging on a short leash, and then let the dog around where ever pull dog wants to go. Collar training is best done by owners who some experience in training dogs and works best when a basic relationship is already established. It is preferable to use a system reward in connection with the collars of training rather than focusing solely on punishment. A good rule of thumb is to use the mildest type of necklace performing the training objective.
