The Chukchi tribe of large areas of northern Siberia was the nomadic tribe that dogs bred Siberian Husky. The tribe is well known for their outstanding ability to reproduce these beautiful dogs as early as 3000 years. They were a people who lived inland and hunted along the coastal shores and they have used dogs to pull the game many times over very long distances. Their dogs were purebred, and selectively and, therefore, the Siberian Husky today is a direct descendant of the original dogs belonging to the Chukchi tribe.

The dog was little known in the U.S. or in Europe until the first "Alaska Sweepstakes" (later known as the Iditarod) was performed and a team of huskies Siberian won. In later expeditions to the North Pole, the Siberian was a major player also. This breed beautiful, intelligent, has become a favorite of explorers Russian and was used extensively throughout Siberia. For many years she was known as "Chukotka" dog, but United States called "Siberian Husky" was coined, while in Britain the same breed was often called "Arctic Husky".

The Siberian Husky is a dog of striking beauty. The Siberian Husky entered the American Kennel Club registry in 1930 and its popularity has grown beyond to be only Dog Show A. It is widely used as a therapy dog, doing so in obedience and agility and is of course always also used as sled dog racing. The "Sibe" as he is affectionately called, is a friendly dog and very friendly, very easy to prepare and very willing to please. By temperament, he is not aggressive to other dogs and people. It is relatively easy to groom, because even if he has a thick coat, he is not overly long and is easy to maintain because it is rare carpets and is completely weather proof. Besides all this, it is a healthy breed problems that very few genetic defects or hereditary.
