What do you think a diet of raw foods for dogs or cats?
Our local pet store recently started selling nuggets of raw foods and cakes. (frozen) It seems the latest trend. Does anyone have experience with switching of dry food (even if a high quality dry food) to a raw food? Any pros? All the cons? Suggestions? Just to clarify - I do not want to make my own food - I did not have the skills necessary to grind my own chicken / beef, etc., and it seems too dangerous for me. (even if dogs and cats had eaten this way for thousands of years - after all, and proplan Iams did not exist since biblical times, no?)
Do not even feed a raw diet for your pets without educating yourself first. During that first is a healthier diet, you can do more harm than good if you're not familiar with the process. Read this book: the natural diet for dogs and cats, the ultimate power EDIT: All discredit people a raw food for pets are misinformed. Any dog that has problems because their diet was first fed incorrectly. If any of you are stupid enough to believe that a dog will be adopt a healthier diet 100% commercial kibble as opposed to a natural raw diet ... then you are really lost. Do you that dogs are specifically bred for eating kibble? Take a look at wolves, wild dogs, or K-9 champion. I am sure to eat McDonalds every day place of home cooked meals are nutritionally adequate, no?
