Dog Agility Training
Training Dog Agility is a fascinating area of dog training that requires your dog to have the most high degree of obedience. Since dogs are not the only driver belt use voice control and body language so the dogs have to be so obedient. The Dogs need precision and speed are very important in agility competition. Such competition is now very popular worldwide and is great fun for the dog and controller.
The history of dog agility.
The formation history of dog agility goes back to late 1970 in the UK. Now it has expanded rapidly around the world, with major competitions held worldwide. The first documented appearance of dog agility was on display Crufts dog in 1978. It is based on the equestrian world to demonstrate dogs' natural agility and speed. Crufts in 1978, the show really intrigued owners dogs because of its challenge and speed and the skill demonstrated by dogs. After this show people wanted to see more and has grown in strength ever since.
Dog agility equipment.
Agility equipment includes several numerous obstacles such as jumps, seesaws, tunnels, A frames, and weave poles. Weave poles are the most difficult discipline in the training of dog agility for dogs to learn. When competing dogs must follow a safe path through obstacles, complete and even have places where dogs must touch call yellow zone, in order to qualify for the challenge and competition.
The obstacles.
The pipe tunnel: The tunnel is very narrow in the beginning starting with a small hole and gradually opens when the end is a open tube. The weave poles: Poles are fixed on the ground at specific intervals and the dog must run back and forth through the poles. Usually There are 6 to 12 poles in agility competitions dog and is usually the toughest of competition.
The Dogwalk: This is like a wooden beam used in gymnastics but with ramps at both ends.
