Old English Sheep Dog Breeders

Old English Sheep Dog Breeders

I would like to adopt or purchase a new dog. Where do I start?

Start by looking at the 131st annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Whole the show is available for sale on DVD from the website of Westminster Kennel Club.

The show has competitors of all breeds of dog to "Best in Show" title. You'll learn a lot just by watching the show and listening to the description of each dog breed as they are systematically presented to judges.

There are seven groups of dogs (Sporting, Non-Sporting, Working, Herding, Terrier, dog, and the toy) were presented to salon Westminster Kennel Club today, with different participants in each group. All breeds compete for "Best of breed" Titles and then the "best of breed" winners compete to become the "best group" winners. Finally, "the best groups of" winners are competition to win the "Best in Show" title.

It is important to note that judges do not compare a race with another to make decisions for "Best in Group and Best in Show" title. Instead, the judges look for dogs that best represent their individual rules AKC. The dog that best represents the norm for race wins "Best in Show" title.

The following is a list of all groups of dogs and races within each group of dog:
