I think most of us have had fleas in our house and if any of you have all had an infestation, it is an experience you'll never forget! I always had a bad reaction to any flea products and I think it was a blessing in disguise Having learned all that I have on the damage and the problems they can cause, including death for our pets and cancer! I am happy to share information about diatomaceous earth with you. I have not seen a single chip since we started using it.

What on earth is diatomaceous earth?

Diatomaceous earth is probably a product that you are not familiar. While you may have heard a different diatomaceous earth is used for pool filters. This is not the same thing. The other product is toxic to consumption. This diatom is food grade. This is a great product! It has been my experience using this product, you will more chips, ever. I managed to get rid of all insects, including mosquitoes using it. It is non toxic so that will not harm your pets health. It is full of minerals and is good for your pets overall health! Food Grade Diatomaceous earth is the remains of microscopic single-celled plants (phytoplankton) called diatoms that lived in oceans and lakes that once covered the western United States and other parts of the world. These deposits are exploited from underwater beds or the former dried lake bottoms.

Incesticidal quality of DE is due to the razor sharp edges of the diatom remains. When De comes in contact with insects, the sharp edges lacerate the bugs waxy exoskeleton and then the powdery DE absorbs the body fluids causing death by dehydration.

What's Flea products which is so toxic?

During the cons flea powders, collars, shampoos and sprays may also contain more sustainable pesticides known as organophosphates and carbamates, OP for short.

Many contain carbaryl flea collars? Carbaryl, also known as Sevin, has been shown to cause cancer, cell mutation, and cause birth defects. How can you believe it may be safe for our dogs to wear a flea collar around his neck for a maximum of four months? Did you know that manufacturers of these Flea collars should not say that we even let our children touch the collar? I wonder why? Read the instructions on throwing chips. They ask you to do not breathe while spraying your dog? What happens when dogs breathe while being sprayed? What about flea shampoos? There are at least as I know, to the extent that a chemical that causes cancer.

How To Use It

We have not had a single chip since we started using this product there are about 7 years! Well, once we have chips when we were traveling home with a puppy, we purchased. We were horrified to discover on the way home! When we returned, we kept the puppy separate from our other animals pet and rubbed Diatomaceous earth (it's a powder) in her coat. The next morning, fleas were dead except for some who had explored around her eyes. We were amazed! I knew it was for chips but to see how it works as it was a big surprise! It is non toxic and there is no smell. Some of my children and I are highly allergic to flea collars, sprays, dips, and bombs. With this, we have no problem at all. You can put them in bed too!
