Newfoundland owners, apartment or not?

I'm in college, and my fiancee and I have sought a Newfoundland year next. We will live in a 2 bedroom apartment 1000 square feet. I talked to a couple of breeders and they said they are good apartment dogs as long as they are mounted every day and you bring them to a pond for swimming atleast once a week. I am ready to put in the work to look after the race, and I find them fascinating and sweet and kind, but does not put the dog so great in a situation that is Opinions really not healthy for her. are appreciated:) Yes, the apartment has only breed restrictions, no size. And Newfy already lives in the complex.

they do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised. They are relatively inactive indoors and a small yard is sufficient. They are sensitive heat: provide them plenty of shade and cold water in hot weather. so make sure you get air in summer. Summertime they would probably be happy to lay quietly in the apartment. Make sure you are able to devote the time to take a walk 1 to 3 times a day for exercise and you'll be fine
