The origins of the breed German Pointer

As the name suggests the Dog German Pointer, also known as the German Shorthaired Pointer comes from Germany. Even if researchers do not have many details on the origin of this breed, have all concluded that the German race pointer is a mixture of races that have developed over time mixing of races as the Spanish Pointer, the Foxhound, the hound and hunting dogs and others later, the English Pointer.

The German Pointer breed dog belongs to a European arrest. There are records of the pointing dogs and hunting dogs in Europe since the 13th century. In 2005, a pointer German Shorthaired won Best in Show at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and the first show where a German Shorthaired Pointer participated took place in 1941 in Chicago.
