I want a recipe from Better Homes and Gardens June 2009 Magazine for Mini-corn dogs.?
The recipe for Blue Cheese & Bacon Mini Corn dogs. I read the magazine in a dentist's office, and did not have time right down. I thought it would on the Better Homes & Gardens Web site, but it is not, and I could not find any where else online. More ... had the taste of steak cut cubes better than the mini hot dogs with blue cheese and bacon?
Blue Cheese Mini Corndog Preparation: 30 min. Cooking time: 2 to 3 minutes. / Lot 1 cup flour any use 2 / 3 cup yellow cornmeal 2 tbsp soup. 1-1/2 c. tea with sugar. baking powder 1 / 2 tsp. dry mustard 1 / 4 tsp. salt 1 C. to soup. shortening 3 / 4 cup milk 1 / 4 cup blue cheese, 1 egg 3 slices crisp bacon, cooked and crumbled or finely chopped oil for frying 6 Jumbo Beef Franks, cut in half width 12 6-inch wooden skewers of honey mustard or mustard Blue Cheese Dip (optional) fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley (optional) Preparation 1. In a large bowl combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, dry mustard and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. In a blender, combine milk, blue cheese, and eggs, cover and blend until almost smooth. Add egg mixture to flour mixture with bacon, mix well. (Batter will be thick.) 2. Meanwhile, heat 1 inch of oil in a heavy 10 inch skillet over medium heat to 365 degrees F. (which should take about 15 minutes). 3. Insert skewers in extremities Franks. Blue Cheese Dip: In a medium bowl, combine 2 / 3 cup mayonnaise, 1 / 4 cup Dairy sour cream, 2 ounces crumbled blue cheese, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce and 1 / 8 tsp Tea ground black pepper. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Make Ahead: Make - these costs. Skewer hot dogs in advance, cover and refrigerate.
