Maine Dog Breeders

In many cases, when you buy a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder or a shelter, you will be asked to sign an agreement. The agreement in May cover a much territory, but a domain is almost always covered - spaying and neutering. The breeder or shelter May require that you have the cat altered by the time he reached a certain age.
The kittens can be sterilized after the age of four months, but your vet may prefer to wait until six months old. Many Maine Coon breeders do their own castration and sterilization before the kitten is adopted, and often suggest spaying and neutering at about fourteen weeks of age.
The why veterinarians have reported sterilization and castration, is that anesthesia is used, and in the past, using anesthesia on kittens was difficult. Today, there has been much research done on this subject and this practice has been perfected - Allowing veterinarians and breeders to Spay Kitten earlier in life.
This practice reduces the possibility of someone to adopt a kitten, and failing to get spayed or neutered later. Maine Coon breeders are concerned about this especially as given that they want to keep the race pure, and they do not want unwanted litters. It is also an effort to avoid inbreeding between brothers and sisters at an early age. It's the only advantage of early sterilization.
Over there are those who oppose strongly to the EAA, or early age changes. Veterinarians and associations believe that the EAA resulted in an increased risk of fracture long bones, obesity, a negative effect on overall growth, behavior change, and increased risk of disease. They also that anesthesia using the kitten is too risky.
Spaying and neutering of all is not cruel to animals, and they actually feel pain minimal. In most cases, they experience only mild pain for a day or two. Sterilization is usually more expensive than sterilization. If you are not aware - and many people are not - women are spayed and males are castrated.
If you want to raise your Maine Coon kitten at a given time is something you will need to discuss with the breeder - often before the kitten is even conceived. The breeder charge fees much higher when the reproduction rights are given to new owner. Note, however, that kittens only come from parents with a title of any real monetary value. Thus, if your kitten does not have parents called himself you need to find a litter that comes from titled parents.
Unless you plan to race your Maine Coon, it must be absolutely changed. Otherwise, a man will be constantly "spray" to mark his territory and a female will keep days and nights when she is in heat. Note Also when you enter your watch with the Maine Coon, you must specify that the animal has been altered, and he or she enters the class divisions specifically to amend the Maine Coons.
