Help For Dog Breeders / Puppy sales .....?

My husband and I want to buy a long haired purebred AKC dachshound. There are 5 farmers in our state, we know. We applied to each for a puppy and was refused each for reasons that do not make sense. About us. I'm 35. My husband is 51. We have 2 children. We had another dog (another dachshound long hair). However, he died last year, to cause cancer after surgury to veterinarians. We have our own house. A large 4 bedroom with a fenced yard. I am a mother at home. There would always be a home for adults with the puppy. We have excellent references from our local veterinarian, friends of the AKC shows (where we used to show our other dog), and neighbors. There were the excuses used farmers not to sell us a puppy. 1. We have kids. 2. Our house is too large. 3. Our vet is too expensive. 4. We have a show dog. 5. My husband is too old to have a dog. How can we convince a farmer to sell us a pup? We would give him a magnificent house.

They are not good breeders. They Go see what you do. Do more research and talking to owners of other show dogs. If your references are only good when they get others like you, they theirs race. It is a good breeder.
