The Jack Russell Terrier, a type of small terrier, has a history of fox hunting. The term "Jack Russell" is associated with working terriers and now includes Parson Russell Terriers and Russell Terriers.
Russell Terriers were originally bred by the Reverend Mr. John Russell, who was a pastor and loved hunting. Russell Terriers originated from a terrier named Trump, who was supposed to breed a terrier that would be good for hunting strength and value of catch and chase foxes without coming to harm them. Another form of Russell Terriers were bred for badger digging. They were crossed with Bull Terriers to create a strong small dog then described as Jack Russell Terrier.
There is controversy about the breed, as Jack Russell Terriers were not recognized by the master records for a long dog time. In 1990, Jack Russell Terriers were finally recognized. However, since recognition is very new, there is still no agreement on the names and classify the different types of dogs yet.
Jack Russell Terriers are about 25 to 30 cm in height and are mostly white with various colors such as black or brown face and tail. Their ears are V-shaped and fold forward. Jack Russell Terriers have strong teeth and a dense double coat comes in three varieties.
Colas Jack Russell Terriers, which are 6 to 8 inches long, straight and vertical. In the past, the queues are often interrupted to about 4 inches, supposed to give them a human hand grasping what the hunters could help them out of the holes. Fortunately, the coupling of this form is illegal and is less common now.

They need plenty of exercise, because they have a hunting background and are designed to be strong and fast. Despite who like to play, training is necessary as untrained Jack Russell Terriers tend to have difficult behaviors.
Jack Russell Terriers make good dogs guards as they were designed to bark at the dam. Although dogs are very vocal, that do not bark unless there is good reason. They are good with children, but any type of abuse, even accidental, is not tolerated by them. Most Jack Russell Terriers are outgoing and friendly with other dogs, but some can be quite aggressive. Jack Russell Terriers are also known as not being afraid of larger dogs, which can be a bad thing and lead to injury.
Jack Russell Terriers, if neglected, can live for over 15 years. The main health problem with them is cataracts, which is often seen in Jack Russell Terriers, whose breeding has not been tested.
Jack Russell Terriers are popular on screen as well, as have the vivid facial expressions and a feisty personality. Famous Jack Russell Terriers include Wishbone which has its own television series, Milo of the popular comedy film "The Mask" and Eddie, the popular dog in Frasier.
Jack Russell Terriers make great pets, as they are small and friendly, but also are attentive, strong and vocal when they have to be.
