What is the difference of temperament between the Whippets and Italian Greyhounds?
I was watching the dog races and both The Whippet and Italian Greyhound, seem like good matches for me. Does anyone know of some essential differences between races. Or, if you are an owner of one of these races, what was your experience?
I have an Italian greyhound and absolutely love it - he loves to snuggle under blankets and is much fun. Whippets and IG are incredibly similar in appearance, but I think the tendency to be whippets worse than the emotional need each dog is different. The key is both great exercise and keep their weight under control. Start Training and socialization is also essential - they tend to be very nervous or constantly exposed to what you want them to be exposed. You can visit a rescue greyhound local as they often have whippets and IG although you can look at breed specific websites.
