Information On The Dog Boxer

A German breed descending from mastiffs, the Boxer was originally bred for the purpose of hunting. The Boxers first bred to be fierce but these traits do are not visible today. Boxers today tend to be gentle, affectionate and energetic dogs. They are stocky dogs of medium size. Female Boxers reach an average height of 22 to 25 inches and weighing 60 to 70 pounds. Women Boxers reach an average height of 21 to 24 inches and weighing 53 to 65 pounds. Boxers have an average lifespan of 11 to 14 years. Their coats are smooth and short hair, making it easy to groom Boxer. In fact, boxers tend to be clean freaks "and will be cleaned regularly. Generally, Boxer coats come in only two colors: fawn and brindle.
Some athletes have white markings on them, known as flash, which can spread through making them appear white. Boxers have short muzzles and their lower jaw extends beyond their superiors. This gives them a very safe piece, something useful when they were hunting. Boxers are considered highly intelligent and easily trained. However, they can be independent thinkers and can make them stubborn and sneaky. Well they are energetic gentle with children and other animals (if they are well socialized) and make an excellent family company.
They love to play with children and will protect his family when a stranger approaches. Once introduced into the unknown, however, it will become a friend and boxer greet with enthusiasm in the future. Boxers are energetic dogs that like to run, jump, fetch and play and exercise once a day minimum is required. The Boxers tend to be quite active inside and may become destructive if not given time to "burn some breathless. A well in the fenced yard (if not lead) is also a must. Boxers are prone to many medical problems. Because of their nose short, they tend to snore and drool and have difficulty regulating their body temperature, making it difficult for them to live in places where extreme temperature are frequent.
Boxers are also more likely to develop cardiomyopathy, a subaortic stenosis and dysplasia of the hip. Some Boxers are prone to epilepsy, and at the age of eight on they are more likely to get tumors than other breeds. They tend to suffer from allergies and some boxers may have excessive flatulence. Some white boxers are prone to deafness. Boxers may also develop a corneal dystrophy or demodicosis and some are prone to indigestion. torsion (bloat) and if they are not getting enough exercise will quickly become obese, leading to other health problems.
