Labradors Retrievers are extraordinarily animals. In other words, they must be in agreement with their landlords to follow specific guidelines. The path to understanding is to dive deeper at what Labs were bred to do, and that is to hunt and retrieve.
Think of it this way, these dogs must be in harmony with their hunter / landowner to precisely follow directions and beautiful birds that fell to the ground and out of sight. This needs a dog to have management covers all aspects of life Labrador - even at home.
This race is perfect for those who love and need constant canine companion. The other is bad for dog owners who have a Labrador, but expect the animal to be entertained with very little interaction from the owner.
There are hunting dogs that were actually high to be independent hunters with very little interaction and guidance of people. Good examples of these types of dogs are terriers and dogs, who are leading the way by using their senses (smell and sight) with the determined hunter and keep the rhythm of the dog.
Laboratories are set to recover, and in doing so, they must relate directly connected to the attention of the hunter. If a dog does not comply with orders the hunter then they may hit the water and swim distant past when a squirrel fell, and perhaps keep swimming and traveling.
Well trained Labs do not have such errors because they have the innate ability to attend and follow specific directions from the hunter. This power is absolutely essential to be a reliable retriever and are one reason that these dogs make great service to the animals and trainees obedience.
Why Many laboratories do not function well with some families
I'm sure you probably understand now how connected and dependent becomes a Labrador to its owners. He is always looking for people for leadership and must interact with people.
Each breed of dog is sociable to some extent, some more than others, but Labs needs much more attention than most dogs. They do not survive very well when left alone for long periods of time, either inside of our house outside. Many families who are absent for long periods of time and come home and discover that their ram Lab has chained a door or a window trying to escape does why how this could occur.
These owners are obviously frustrated and then yell at their laboratories. A well educated owner Lab will never feel that way because they know why. The reason is that what causes a laboratory to try to escape, as is because they want to seek and find their owners. They are under the impression that their "pack" missing and make an attempt to find out.
One lesson of this information, especially if you have not yet decided on what type of dog to own and are considering a Labrador, is understanding that you have to spend your laboratory regularly. If you spend time with neglect your dog, you should consider getting a more independent breed dog. Or, your laboratory may soon become extremely unhappy and eventually a pet very abusive home, or even a fugue.
