This organization collects new teddy bears from around the world and make them accessible charge to qualified counselors, school personnel, health professionals, rescue people and orders to use when helping traumatized children. 10 years ago, my family was in a car accident. It was pretty scary but my little 4 year old daughter had just had heart surgery 2 weeks earlier at the Cleveland Clinic. An ambulance came for my daughter and myself. The rescue squad gave him a little plaid teddy bear made by the Ladies Guild of the local Methodist church. She is now 14 and disposed several of his old stuffed animals, teddy Plaid but still lives with us .... Cleveland Oh all the way to Newland NC. This year we plan to do bears and send our shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse. Operation Teddy Care is awesome. This type of organization is a great way to see how a small gesture can be so powerful
