German Pinscher

In his native Germany, the Miniature Pinscher is called the Zwergpinscher (dwarf pinscher) or Reh Pinscher after the small roe deer of the same name. In States America is usually called minpin.

The ancestors of the Miniature Pinscher was bred in Scandinavia. It looks like a miniature Doberman Pinscher, but in reality was bred in Scandinavia about a century before the Doberman. The two races are not related. German Pinscher's ancestors were probably small Miniature Pinscher (Terriers) and possibly Scandinavian Klein pinschers. Personality
