Who do dogs have a funny way of cheering up a person?

It is a 1 year old flat coated retriever, sometimes full of light and not just mopeing on caouch Eyeballing what happens.

I think it is true that animals have a kind of healing. I had a tumor removed 5 years ago and a dog who has been with me every time something happens to me and he always seems to recover faster when he stood there beside me. It is very true, if I am sick, he goes to sleep with me at night, slept with me on the sofa, and follow me around him for sure I get where I need to be. So I suppose it may depend on the dog, relationship, and disease severity.
