Free Dog Health Problems Advice
Should I breed my dog?

The name of my dog Muffin. He did not have papers because I do not own her parents waited then we have obtained for free. Muffin is a shih-tzu. My family is thinking of raising it is a Aspso Lhasa or another shih-tzu. The Lhasa Apso has papers, though. He was born 5th December 2008, so that we do not plan on breeding him for a long time. And he is a thoroughbred. Any advice to be a responsible breeder? We will probably reproduced once or twice, because I heard that more than reproduction may occur health problems for dogs. Thank you!

No. The dog needs to be sterilized. If you want to play responsibly: 1. Contact a breed club for your breed. Ask a mentor. 2. STUDY the breed standard. Learn more about the anatomy of dog and ask your mentor to clarify that you do not understand. 3. Learn what genetic faults and diseases run in your breed and test for any that may be tested. 4. Teach your dog conformation events to see if it is of adequate quality for breeding. Winning does not always mean a dog is breeding quality, but being around so many others that know your breed and will discuss with you will do wonders for your efforts for self-education! 5. Study the past history of great dogs in your breed. You see how your breed has improved and progressed since the beginning of the race. 6. Studying the standard of the race more! ;-) 7. Join a Yahoo group on your race. 8. Live, dream and study your breed. 9. Get a good book on canine reproduction, and ask about the pitfalls, problems and proud moments of breeding. Learn more about the physiology of reproduction, such as heat cycles and venereal diseases in dogs, potential for problems specific to your race, and what you should expect to parturition. 10. Remember parturition (giving birth) can kill your wife. Being used as a stud dog can encourage bad behaviors common in intact males such as territorial marking, aggression, and desire to move from their homes. 11. Prepare to be broken. Breeding properly is EXPENSIVE. 12. Line up potential homes for any puppies you produce and write a contract. Please include that you willing to take your puppy to any time in their life that they might need you. If you bring life into this world, it is your responsibility FOREVER. 13. Prepare to spend nights White attending whelping females, caring for fading puppies or puppies orphaned, and practice Cleaning 24 / 7 machines shit. I am sure he are many things I missed because being a responsible breeder is not just a job. It's a lifestyle. You will live dogs. 24/7/365. It are many difficult decisions. There are many costs. There will be pain. But if you do your darndest to always keep the welfare of your dogs and the future one of their descendants, you can go to step 14. 14. Enjoy the love and success in a job well done.
