Evaluation of a Doberman puppy rescue? Race?
I am a dog trainer, I want a dog to obedience, Perhaps Schutzhund, and protection work and personal bitework. I am considering adopting a dog, but not sure because I do not know what I get. I yet to assess the dog, some tips? Is he a purebred Doberman, or any observations based on pictures? (Like Dobes in Europe, it has his ears or tail cut) This is an important commitment for me, so any contribution is great. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi? Why Do you care if the dog is purebred or not? It makes no difference in training him ... As you know ... it looks like a red Dobie for me, but even the best dog identifiers / judges / breeders wouldnt be able to say and be 100% safe.
