Dog Collars In The 1500′s
Posted in Dog Information on 06/21/2007 08:25 pm by adminFirst, let me explain. I am not impartial dachshunds. I had two beautiful Long Haired Miniature Dachshunds for 15 years. My boss had a Miniature Wire Haired Dachshund who often came into the office. And my friends around Long Haired Miniature Dachshunds as Pets.
We've had dogs miniature at the time because we worked and fit perfectly into our work schedule. They were little to keep at home for that we went to work.
Evidence of the Dachshund as a breed is not found, until the sixteenth century. At the time, they were called the Little Burrow Dog Dacksel or Badger Dog. The modern name means Dachs (Badger) and Hund, which means dog in German.
These dogs would follow its prey, enter the burrow, pull it and kill it.
The original Dachshunds were smooth, with the possibility of being the longest-haired breed with the German Spaniels Hair and thread were crossed with Pinschers, and Terriers.
The Dachshund is very bold and extremely curious and always ready for adventure, and I can attest to this firsthand. The Dachshund is very nice to the children in her own family, but may bite other children. They are not really dogs sociable. They love the outdoors.
If you give it moderate walking on a leash will fill their need for exercise. But again, they like full air.
One of the major challenges of these dogs is degenerative disc disease. They have a lifespan of 12-14 years. Obesity may be a problem, then feed Food good bonus, but not too much.
The Dachshund has a very nice expression. They are very kind in their own families.
