What are tips for caring for an aging dog?

I have a collie 8 years old border / mutt. It is very healthy and active, but I can say that it becomes difficult to shoulder and hip after a game of frisbee and search. I do not play frisbee as much time he jumps it. It seems to help. I want to keep him healthy and happy for long, some tips? They would be appreciated, Thanks.

Try food that is specifically designed for older animals. You can also contact your veterinarian and give him some medicine against arthritis. They do not work. Do not exercise the dog, but do not let it become a couch potato. Just let the dog go at their own pace and do not force him to do anything what. Be careful about the changes in your dog. Be gentle and considerate.
