Disobeying a lawful order of an officer on duty. Military (Army)?

A soldier has problems with his command about stupid things. Basically, the command said the soldiers wife couldnt take care of two dogs through to take out. When this was not true and that other leadership NCO has lied to the control subject. Now the command is trying to charge the soldier disobeying a lawful command of a commissioned officer.
