Dog Breeders Missouri

Dog Breeders Missouri

I have a client from a few years ago, which is a very nice woman and is now a friend. She hired me when she got a cocker spaniel / poodle mix in a local pet store. I refuse to call it a race because he is not, it's a mix. I absolutely no problem with mixed breeds as most mines were mixes. What I do have a problem is people with 2 breeds of livestock voluntarily to different mixtures and sell for exorbitant sums of money and calling them "designer" dogs. Especially when there are so many blends perfectly large and pure-blood, I might add, sitting in shelters are euthanized each day. Sorry for the rant, I'm going back to my story now.

Thus, although I was disappointed in his choice of a dog, and even more the store where she bought the dog, the dog needs training and needs help to do so. After we became more friendly, we talked about the store "pet", where she got the dog. I told him that the dog had a puppy mill and she said "no way, they said that dogs are well taken care of and come from a breeder in Nice in the Midwest. From Anyway, is not it "a big dog?" As if to compound the horrible living conditions of the dog parents are more likely to live in.

After training was completed we were friends and had coffee once or twice. A while later, another of his dogs died suddenly. In her grief she contacted the bank to "pet" and told them. A few days later they called to say they had a very Nice golden-doodle (their term not mine) that she had love. I told him that the dog is from a puppy mill. Again, She said the girl swore the breeder is a very nice lady who raises her dogs in a healthy and happy. I told him to ask if the young daughter had actually traveled to Missouri, Iowa or Oklahoma, or wherever the place was to look for her. Of course, the young daughter did not. Fortunately, my client / friend decided to listen to me and chose not to get the dog and went to a rescue instead.

Within months, the "pet" was closed for the sale of dogs from puppy mills and do not inform customers. The case went to court and yippee
they have a trial against them for a whopping $ 4.8 million! Much dogs they sold were sick and some even died. Many people have spent thousands or even $ 10k on VET bills and their babies die yet. I really feel for people and especially the puppies who were innocent in all this.

In this day and age, with so many shows Many new, and so many ways to take (hello, Internet?), it amazes me that people are so naive, and I will not say other words, I feel like buying a dog from a pet or even a newspaper, the Recycler, PennySaver, or for that matter. Any good breeder should have a waiting list for their puppies and should not have to advertise for buyers. They want to know where their grandchildren will live and with whom. They want not shipped across the country and are sold by a dealer for someone they can never meet. A good breeder also makes you sign a contract that stipulates that if something were to happen at any time during the life of a dog that requires you to not be able to keep their puppy, they will be unconditionally take the dog back. THAT is accountability. If you make a life in this world, you are responsible for it for the rest of his life.

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now.
