Dog Agility Training At Home

Dog Agility Training At Home
My dog is hyper-active during training agility. What should I do to calm him?

I have an 8 1 \ 2 months Australian Shepherd, it goes very well throughout the world and to other dogs, well trained and educated at home. It usually gets 2 long walks and play with his friends every day. He is now being agile 2x a week and a basic obedience course (which makes it 3x week at Dog School). On the training as soon as we enter the training ground, he begins to become wild, he barks a lot (w \ c is unusual for him 'coz he' s so quiet at home), he jumps on me and does not respect the "sit, stay & come" commands (commands that already known). I always end up having a time of short-term training with him on the field 'coz of his behavior. But when we are outside the training ground, he is back to his "very high" attitude. I do not know what to do or what's wrong with him. Pls Anybody advice.

First, it is impossible for anyone to say for sure. Because the correct tactics / approach depends on WHY he behaves in this way. And there could be some reasons why he behaves this way: - Lack of Focus --fear/over-stimulation - a good number of readers depending on which it is the appropriate response is different. Lack of concentration, see Deb Jones books and DVD's "In-Focus." Make a lot of shadow handling and grading first. Expose him to a distance and work on focus / control. Do not LeadOut. Do not ask him to wait at the starting line - Walk up and then GO! Fears / on-stimulatory, please book Leslie McDevitt "manage Unleashed". Do all relaxation protocol Karen. Work on socialization with other dogs. I also wonder if the behavior is the same with the class as it is obedience with agility. Or if you train all 3 classes in one place (and if not, whether the behavior is slightly different). Fear / over the problem of stimulation, this could be a number candidates who are pressing its button. And until you know that you do not know how to build tolerance to it if it does not set him off. I also had the video for yourself - I discovered that my dog is nervous, he loses as a novice when my marks were delays and confusion. Land Training - Do not use toys or drawing, rely on food (which tends to relax) during class. Do not launch a cycle - just run 2-3 obstacles, reward and an end. Do not run until it loses focus and zoom control and, it roll and rewarding when it is still under control. Do LeadOut use. Do early cue and clear (a dog training can go to high frustration and lost when cues are late). Secondly, I know you say some of the bad behavior happens when you enter school, before you even take a run. Well, it combines everything that is (a chance to do what he loves, exposure to what he fears, something that he loses focus on) with the school or on the ground. Any chance to get a private lesson on the base when nobody else is there? Take y Lead and lodging just practice and reflection? Thirdly, Susan Garrett get the DVD "Crate Games." Trying to take her to the park and just practice of crating him, control and direction. Reward for good conduct in the box, open it, but he must stay out and call reward in return, a reward for good behavior.
