I had the intention to enter into scrapbooking longest now. Since my children were born there nearly 10 years, I thought it would be the perfect way to commemorate all the important events of life. I wanted to create an album for each of your birthdays and other steps that my children grew up. But of course I procrastinated beyond belief, and I am a decade on the road with nothing except a bunch of digital photos stored on a hard drive. But this will change soon because I already bought scrapbook supplies and start this weekend.

Scrapbooking is a hobby very popular right now, so finding appropriate paper, albums, kits and embellishments was easy. As it was the first time I bought supplies for scrapbooking, I wanted to check the materials in person. Therefore, I went to several craft shops in the area so I can examine everything with my own hands rather than just showing on my screen computer. I watched a bunch of stickers and rubber stamps, and was able to talk to staff the store to get some creative ideas For my first attempt. Overall, I think I did fairly well on a business trip.

Unfortunately, I ended up spend much more than I wanted, so from now on I will buy my scrapbook supplies online. Now I have the lingo down and what kind products I want, I can go ahead and enjoy discounts online. For example, I already found a couple of websites hobby seem promising. Just out of curiosity, I totaled the items I purchased in local stores and saw that I could have saved over 30% in the buying scrapbook supplies online. In addition, the online retailer had a much greater selection and providing transportation, cheap flat on all orders. Even if I am disgusted that I passed on my products, at least I know where to go next time!
