If so, you may request photos of men and contact information of the owner for future reference or questions.

Consider your comfort level with the breeder, as you communicate with them. You should be able to express your opinion and ask questions easily. And they should be health able to answer all questions, including those related to training, grooming, and general.

A good breeder will also curious that you ask them questions about your interests as a future owner of one of their puppies. Learn they are active in a breed club or if they participate in dog shows or any type of sporting dog. If so, this would be a good indication that they keep themselves informed of changing views on health concerns and remain informed about their specific breeds.

Last, but not least, a good breeder should provide all relevant documents, including a contract, application for registration, certificate of veterinary health, and a health guarantee.

Choosing the right dog breed and find a good reputable breeder may seem like a lot of unnecessary work, but if you take time to be cautious, informed choices before buying a puppy, you will experience more satisfying in your search for a new companion canine.
