question about choosing a dog for the family? LABRADOR RETRIEVER??
I've never owned a dog before. I have a year-old sister and I need some help choosing a dog that would be good for my family. I really like a retriever labardor. I want to buy one when they are babies. can someone tell me if this is a good family dog, easily trained and eating habits my baby sister. Can you tell me where would be a better place for such a small puppy (Labrador Retriever)? How much does it cost to keep a dog. and to purchase and pay for all vaccines and other things like that. . all the advice and suggestions would be nice. thank you
Provided you find a good breeder who cares as much about health and temperament seems that you will be good to go with any race. Even the "good family dogs," such as laboratories, so ill may have high tempers and horrific attack children or other dogs. You just have to make sure you find a reputable breeder. There are things to discuss with the laboratory: they tend to be very noisy during Adolescence, and could hit your little sister came down with excitement. Training will be very important to make sure that the puppy knows how to behave with your sister. They also need lots of exercise to be happy and healthy you'll need to make sure you take your dog for a long walk every day. The best place to start looking would akc.org (dollars) or ckc.ca Canada. Go to clubs laboratory and they have links to breeders in your area. Then find a breeder of dogs adult you want (remember, it will not a puppy forever) and dogs all have good temperaments whos. Now costs: in the first year of your puppy will cost more than $ 2,000 annually after that will be more than $ 1,000. It is not particularly original purchace price or other emergency expenses that arise. Generally, the purchase price will be $ 500-900, depending on the coach, how long they keep the puppy if the puppy is show or pet, and a number of other factors. Vaccinations cost about $ 100 - $ 150 with a check up for the dog each year. Spay / neuter is surgery usually around $ 150-200 for a large breed such as laboratories. Never buy a puppy from a pet - ever. Check breed rescue and shelter, if you're not as concerned about obtaining a puppy.
