An american bulldog is a pit bull?

I'm confused about American bull dog and pit bull look alike, but some sites say they are different races. Can someone tell me the difference between the 2.

OK, there are too many "types" of American bulldog .. a call of a standard, a thug ... Differences in the eyes are great people, but yes, the "norm" can seem more like Pitt, and are also being treated like a pawn mix American bulldog because of the BSL in Pitts. The story goes that after WW American Bulldog as a breed almost extinct, like many other races ... two boys began to bring back .. Mr. Johnson was a way in their reproductive choices, raising a large, Bullier looking dog, and Mr. Scott was the other way, culture for performance ... which gives us a smaller, nimble, more agile dog. (with Pitt here too) No matter what race, there will always be be someone trying to be too poor quality dogs, and even the mixing of races as a show prospect. However, there are many, many good people in this breed, breeding for improvement. They are great dogs, love mine to death. The AB is a race, and quickly becoming a very popular race. Also has been asked to join the AKC ..
