The difference between the American Akita and Japanese Akita.

Wait.

There is a difference between how the American Akita and Japanese are built and the way they look. The most notable difference between American and Japanese Akitas today is in the shape of the head. The American Akita more larger bones with a triangular head and small eyes look like a bear.

The head of the Japanese Akita by contrast, has almond eyes with his ears down under and beyond and this Akita resembles the head of a fox on the size.

Color.

The colors of the Akita limited to Japanese brindle, white, and red with white spots.

The American Akita can be many different colors, often at the bottom layer has a different
color topcoat. However, they are mostly black masks.

Your choice

If your preference is for a dog small bone with a face that looks like a fox, and would rather have a pure breed dog type Japanese, Japanese Akita Inu is a must buy for you and his family.

If you prefer the great American Akita with its historic cross-breeding, and its uncanny resemblance to a bear, you should be sure to choose a good reputation from a breeder who specializes in this type of Akita.

Race

The Japanese Akita-Inu was bred to be a companion dog while The American Akita was bred to be a watchdog. Still, the two Akitas have similar temperaments.

Each dog will of course have its own personality. It is more important to consider the personality traits of the parents of the puppy that you might want to buy. The puppy is likely to inherit a similar temperament and personality that of the parent dogs.

Always make sure you are willing to make a commitment to love and care for your Akita before you actually buy that adorable puppy!
